Here at SPL we believe in something different.  After 2 years of working for an IMO and 20 years as an owner, we learned direct access is paramount.  The simple question: Would you rather work directly with an owner or an employee?  Our experience shows that professionals prefer, and enjoy, working with the owner versus hourly, salaried, and bonused employees who do not respond as if they are "owners".  After all, who is going to work harder for you?  We want to hear from you directly about both the good and the bad.

That is why we ONLY have a cell phone.  No 800 number to a remote call center to forward your call.  No hourly receptionist who may not care to answer on the first, second, or 10th ring.  No gatekeepers stopping you from speaking with the owners.  No random business hours.  No salaried sales manager who is uninterested in a timely response.  No "senior" manager who only cares about the top 1% of producers and is too busy for the other 99% - and then they hand off all the work to the salaried sales manger.

Our founder has been in the financial advisory industry since 1999. Prior to that, he worked as a carpenter framing houses to help pay for college.  Within the financial advisory industry, he has helped insurance companies develop fixed indexed annuities, trained thousands of agents on the intricacies of FlAs through one-on-one calls, CE workshops, and online events, has been published in trade magazines, and was an integral part of two top-tier Independent Marketing Organizations (IMO) where he was recognized multiple times as sales manager of the month, earned sales manager of the year, and went on to start an IMO with 3 other partners.  â€‹For 20 years he was a part owner and Manager/Member and upon selling his ownership and a brief "retirement", this opportunity arose and brought him back into the industry.

He is now leveraging his knowledge and experience by introducing a truly undeniably unique product which is a rare "Win-Win" for the financial professional and client.

Our lead Agency Manager has been in the financial industry for nearly 40 years.  He is well versed in all facets of financial planning and has written hundreds of millions of dollars in Fixed Annuities and Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuities.  He comes from the “old school” of getting to know your clients first, using a fact finder to organize client and prospect’s portfolios, diligently searching for solutions to their needs, and then fully explaining their options.  Through this process, he has protected hundreds of families’ savings, retirement, as well as provided guaranteed lifetime income plans that have far outpaced inflation through a myriad of products.  

 

Throughout his career, he has consistently promoted the need for his clients to diversify their portfolios with varying products, not simply the same product type and “diversifying” via different carriers.  Compounding this belief, he is now advising agents to diversify their own product offerings.  Not only will this set themselves apart from other agents, advisors, and brokers, offering new and different strategies will increase appointments, increase closing percentages, and increase referrals.   

 

He has built multiple agencies and trained both new and experienced agents in all aspects of financial planning ranging from cold calling to closing (and everything in-between).  He is now freely sharing nearly 4 decades of knowledge with agents choosing to work with us.  As a bonus, our Agency Managers are willing to go to your first few appointments* to help present and close your prospects and clients – all without a reduction in commission.
